Facts that matter

◾️Resources are the means available for aconomic and political development, such as mineral wealth, labour force, livestock, etc. 

◾️Human beings, the essential components of resources, provide services and this contribute to the economic and political development. They convert material available in our environment into resources and use item. 



1.TYPES OF RESOURCES

◾️On the basic of origin, (-) biotic and abiotic resources. 

◾️On the basic of exhaustibility, (-) renewable and non-renewable resources. 

◾️On the basic of ownership, there are four types of resources:Individual resources, Community-owned resources National resources, and International resources. 

◾️On the basic of status of development, there are four types of resources, Potential resources, Developed resources, Stock and Reserves. 

2.DEVELOPMENT OF RESOURCES

◾️As human being are using the resources unevenly, it has led to some major problems like depletion of resources for satisfying the greed of a few individuals; accumulation of resources in a few hands and indiscriminate exploitation of resources which has led to global ecological crises such as global warming, ozone layer depletion, etc

◾️As equitable distribution of resources is very important for sustainable existence of all forms of life and global peace. 

◾️The Rio Convention endorsed the global forest principles and adopted Agenda 21 for achieving sustainable development in the 21st century. 

👉RESOURCE PLANNING

◾️The states of jharkhand, chhattisgarh and Madhyapradesh are rish in minerals and coal deposits. Arunachal Pradesh has abundance of water resources but lacks in Infrastructural development.
